Kolan River Retreat

Security is managed via a combination-lock boom gate at the entrance. If you are launching a boat, a 4WD is recommended for the ramp.

What is nearby. The river frontage offers on-lead dog walks along the bank. For an off-lead run, Daph Geddes Park Fenced Dog Park in Bundaberg East is within reasonable driving distance. For a coffee or meal with your dog alongside you, try Cafe 1928 in Bundaberg Central. The Bargara coastline and its beaches sit roughly 39km away.

Who it suits. Self-contained campers and caravanners who want a quiet river base with their dog. Not the place for dogs that need off-lead exercise on-site or owners planning day trips without their pet.
