Moore Park Beach Inn

Moore Park Beach Inn is a small motel about 18km north of Bundaberg, close to the 17km stretch of sand that gives the town its name, and it is a genuinely dog-friendly stay rather than a tolerant one. Dogs sleep inside the rooms with you, the pet rules are published in writing, and the nightly fee is a modest one.

Dogs can stay in the guest rooms but are not allowed on the beds, so bring your own dog bedding; motel towels and linens are not for pet use, and a $30 dry-cleaning charge applies if a dog ends up on a bed. A $5 per dog, per night fee applies. Dogs must be on a lead around the grounds and are not permitted in the salt-water pool or spa area. Tell the inn you are bringing a dog when you book so a pet-friendly room is allocated.

The inn is around 18km from Bundaberg Airport, roughly 20 to 25 minutes by car, and free self-parking sits right at the motel, which makes unloading a dog and luggage easy. The beach is a short walk or quick drive from the door.

Close by with the dogs

MPB Dog Park, a fully fenced off-leash park with separate large and small dog areas, is just across the road. The beach itself runs 17km and is largely dog-friendly, though check local signage for the exact on-leash and off-leash sections. Blessed Cafe and the Moore Park Beach Tavern are both nearby for food.
