MPB Dog Park

MPB Dog Park is a fully fenced, double-gated dog park in Moore Park Beach, a small coastal community about 20 to 25 minutes from Bundaberg. It is split into two sections, one for small dogs and one for all dogs, and it sits close enough to the beach and the local pet-friendly motel to make a solid stop on a coastal day out.

The rules. Dogs must be leashed in the car park and surrounding public space, then can run off-leash once inside the fenced park. Owners are expected to pick up after their dogs and supervise them at all times, and to keep an eye on kids near the play areas.

What's there. Separate large and small dog zones, a handful of agility-style extras (weave poles, hurdles, a balance beam and jump-through obstacles), shaded seating for owners, a water bubbler for dogs, and free parking right next to the park.

Getting there. The park is reached off the main road into Moore Park Beach from Bundaberg, near Club Avenue and Malvern Drive. There is no public transport to speak of, so a private vehicle is the practical option, though it is walkable from nearby holiday accommodation.

Nearby with the dogs. Moore Park Beach Inn, a pet-friendly motel, is right across from the park. Blessed Cafe and the Moore Park Beach Tavern are both in town if you want a coffee or a meal afterwards, and the dog-friendly beach is a short walk away for an on-leash stroll, best timed around low tide for more sand to work with.

Early morning and after 4pm tend to be the busiest times with locals walking their dogs, while mid-morning is usually quiet. Good for a leg-stretch before or after a beach walk, and worth bringing your own water and sun protection since shade is limited.
