Bundaberg East Cabin & Tourist Park is a five-acre, tropical-garden caravan park at 83 Princess Street in Bundaberg East, a few minutes from the Bundaberg CBD, and it is one of the more accommodating parks in the region for dogs: they are welcome on the caravan and camping sites and in designated pet-friendly cabins, not just outside your own van.

For campers and caravanners, dogs are permitted on the sites under standard park rules: on a lead and under control at all times around the grounds, with cleanup on you. For cabin stays, pets are restricted to specific pet-friendly tourist villas rather than every cabin tier, so you need to request a pet-friendly unit explicitly when booking, because availability is limited. Listings report no extra pet fee, but it is worth confirming the current policy and any bond or size conditions when you call. Quiet hours run from 9pm to 8am, and the relaxed, established-garden setting suits a quiet stopover with a dog better than a party weekend.

The park

The property spreads villas, deluxe cabins and powered sites across shady gardens, with ensuite powered sites, outdoor showers and consistently clean bathrooms among the features guests call out. Free on-site parking sits right beside the cabins and sites. Being on the eastern side of Bundaberg means supermarkets, pet supply shops and the CBD are all close, and the coastal strip at Bargara is 10 to 15 minutes away by car.

Close by with the dogs

The best off-leash option is close enough to walk: Daph Geddes Park Fenced Dog Park in the same suburb, with secure double-gate entry, agility obstacles and 24-hour access. If you head for the coast, Mary Kinross Park Fenced Dog Park at Bargara has separate large and small dog enclosures and links toward the Turtle Trail walking tracks.
