The structure is simple but strict. Dogs stay only in designated dog-friendly cabins, which include certain one- and two-bedroom oceanfront cabins, and you need management approval before arrival, not at the front gate. The limits are two small dogs up to 15kg each, or one large dog up to 35kg per cabin, and an additional charge from around $45 applies to bookings with dogs. Confirm the current fee and the exact cabin when you request approval, because both are enforced. Inside the park, dogs stay on lead at all times. The beach directly in front is rocky, so it is a lead-walk shoreline rather than a swim spot, and Bargara's foreshore paths are on-leash. The setting

The pitch here is the view: oceanfront cabins, sunrise over the water and, in season, whales on their southern migration visible from the park. Guests regularly mention falling asleep to the waves, and it is still a caravan park, so the grounds are holiday-park practical rather than resort manicured. If the dog-friendly cabin list is full, the same trade applies nearby at other parks, but few of them put you this close to the water.

Getting there and out with the dogs

The park is on Bargara's Esplanade about 15 minutes east of Bundaberg, with parking at your cabin. Central Bargara's cafes and the turtle-season draws at Mon Repos are close by, and Bargara Moon is a nearby dinner option.
