The Langham, Sydney

The Langham, Sydney is a grand five star hotel in Millers Point at the western edge of the CBD, and one of the few luxury properties in the city with a genuine dog program. The Pampered Pets Staycation is built for guests who want the hotel itself to be part of the trip, not a place that merely tolerates the dog.

Dogs at The Langham

The program accepts small to medium dogs up to around 20kg, with a maximum of two pets per room and designated pet friendly rooms to request. Budget for a pet fee of roughly AU$120 per pet per night, though it is often waived for the first pet when you book the package itself. The extras are what you would expect at this tier: the hotel's signature pink pet beds and welcome amenities, with pet sitting available as an add on. Dogs must stay on lead in all public areas, cannot be left alone in the room, and are kept out of Kitchens on Kent, the Observatory Bar and the day spa. Confirm current weight limits, fees and eligible room types at booking, since packages shift.

The stay

Rooms are classic Langham: high ceilings, heavy drapes, deep baths and polished service. Millers Point is a quiet, historic pocket between The Rocks and Barangaroo, so walks start at the door. Observatory Hill Park is uphill with harbour views and off leash grass, Munn Reserve on High Street is a small unfenced off leash reserve, and the Barangaroo foreshore path makes a long on lead stroll along the water.

Pepsi: Ask for a room close to the lift and the street. Late night bathroom breaks in a big hotel go better that way.

Getting there and parking

The hotel sits on Kent Street at the Millers Point end of the CBD, around 20 minutes from the airport by car. Valet parking is on site, which matters when you are arriving with a dog and luggage. Circular Quay and Wynyard stations are both walkable.

While you're out there
