The vibe

This is an upscale, minimalist retreat rather than a family motel: spotless rooms, a pool courtyard built for cocktails, and a calm atmosphere that suits well-mannered dogs which settle quietly. It is a poor fit for barkers or dogs that pace in new rooms, and there is no on-site exercise area, so every walk starts at the front gate.

Getting there and parking

The hotel sits on the riverfront side of Maroochydore, about a 7-minute drive from Sunshine Coast Airport, with free on-site parking in front of the rooms. The riverfront footpath along Bradman Avenue is the obvious walking route, and the beach side of Maroochydore is a short drive or a longer stroll.

Close by with the dogs

The Mudjimba off-leash beach north of the river mouth is the nearest proper run, with Sunshine Coast Council's 24/7 off-leash zone between the low water mark and the dune line, and Unfenced Dog Leash Free Park is a grass option closer to town. For coffee, Beach Street Deli is a short walk toward the water.
