Love Camellia - Teahouse & Sourdough Bakery

Love Camellia is a teahouse and sourdough bakery on the Bradman Avenue riverside strip in Maroochydore, set opposite the Maroochy River with a garden-style alfresco where dogs are welcome. It keeps short Thursday to Saturday morning hours and spends the rest of the week baking, so it works best as a treat stop at the start or end of a riverside dog walk.

The dog setup

Dogs join you at the outdoor alfresco seating in the garden area; the indoor bakery and food-prep spaces are people-only as usual. Water bowls are provided to keep dogs hydrated through warm Sunshine Coast mornings, and it is worth asking staff whether dog treats are on the counter that day. The footprint is small and the loaf queue can be steady, so a settled dog on a short lead is the right fit while you wait for coffee and toast.

Worth knowing

The baking is built around slow-ferment organic sourdough, with standout gluten-free loaves, artisan pastries and from-scratch ingredients, plus wholesome ready-made dinners like cottage pie in the fridge. Drinks run to local roastery coffee, organic and oriental teas, sticky chai and ceremonial cacao, and the food-as-medicine focus means dietary-sensitive eaters are well covered. Hours are tight: 8am to 11am Thursday, Friday and Saturday, closed Sunday to Wednesday, with the occasional market pop-up around the coast.

Getting there and parking

The address is 319 Bradman Avenue, Maroochydore, on the riverside strip. Street parking runs along Bradman Avenue directly opposite the water, and the flat riverside path makes the cafe an easy walking destination from surrounding streets.

Close by with the dogs

A designated off-leash stretch runs along Bradman Avenue from the Fishermans Road lights towards the river mouth, roughly 500 metres of riverside where dogs can run before breakfast. It is unfenced and sits next to the road, so solid recall matters. The wider riverside space is listed as Maroochydore Unfenced Dog Leash-Free Park, and the sun sets the other way at Flume By The River, which keeps dogs at its riverfront tables for breakfast and lunch.
