North Coffee House

North Coffee House is a small, family-run cafe at 10/1-5 Pittards Road in the Kuluin side of Buderim, with a retro feel and a genuine local following. It holds a five-star rating across a hundred-plus reviews, most of them about the coffee and the old-fashioned service. This is a morning venue through and through: doors open at 6am weekdays and 5am Saturdays, and service wraps by late morning.

The dog setup

The cafe's own listings welcome dogs both inside and at the outdoor tables, which is rarer than footpath-only access and a real plus in Buderim's morning humidity. It is a small room, so keep your dog settled at your feet and out of the queue. Bowls and treats are not guaranteed, so carry your own water.

Worth knowing

The coffee is the draw: custom-blended, locally roasted beans with an extensive range of milk alternatives. Food is quick bites and healthy options rather than a big brunch menu. Come early; the weekday window closes at 11am and Saturday runs 5am to 10am, with Sundays closed altogether.

Getting there and parking

Pittards Road sits on the lower, Kuluin-facing side of the Buderim plateau. Free street parking and a nearby car park make an early stop easy, and the cafe is a straightforward in-and-out with a dog on a lead.

Close by with the dogs

The E.J. Foote Memorial Sanctuary is Buderim's signature walk, but it is strictly on-leash because of the resident koalas, so treat it as a calm stroll rather than a run. For proper off-lead time, the Elizabeth Daniels Park Fenced Dog Park is a short drive. Among fellow early-openers, Vandys Cafe and Cafe 65 are both Buderim dog-friendly alternatives.
