Elizabeth Daniels Park Fenced Dog Park

Elizabeth Daniels Park is a fully fenced off-leash dog park on Elizabeth Daniels Way, at the bottom of the Buderim hill. The drawcard is the double-gated, split layout: two separate enclosures keep small and timid dogs away from the larger, more boisterous crowd, so it suits dogs of any size and confidence level.

The rules. Dogs run off-leash inside the fenced enclosures but must be leashed walking to and from the gates, especially past the nearby playground and picnic areas. Owners need to supervise at all times and keep dogs responsive to voice commands. Pick up after your dog using the bins provided, and make sure your dog wears a current Sunshine Coast Council registration tag. Restricted or declared dangerous dogs are not permitted in the off-leash area.

What's there. Two fenced enclosures on open turf with a mix of sun and shade under mature trees. Undercover gazebos give owners somewhere to sit, water bowls are provided inside the enclosures, and there are dog waste bags and bins. Public toilets are across the road at the neighbouring Lions Park.

Getting there. The park is off Elizabeth Daniels Way, reached via the Sunshine Motorway or Burnett Street. A dedicated free car park sits right at the entrance, so parking is rarely the problem here. The closest bus stops are on the arterial roads nearby, so driving is the easier option.

Nearby with the dogs. Vandys Cafe and the other dog-friendly cafes up in Buderim village are a short drive up the hill for a coffee afterwards. The Tramway Track off Mons Road is a leashed walk if your dog still has energy to burn.

Busiest on weekday afternoons after work and weekend mornings from about 8am to 10am. Weekday mornings and early afternoons are the calmest windows. Being inland, it holds up fine on drizzly days, and the shade and gazebos help on hot ones. Good for social dogs who want a secure run.
