Hunter Roasters Coffee

Hunter Roasters is a family-run specialty cafe on Sugar Road in Maroochydore, built around freshly roasted coffee with a casual, easygoing feel. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, which makes it a relaxed stop for a morning coffee with your dog along for the ride.

The dog setup

Dogs join you in the outdoor footpath seating, a casual stretch with room for a dog to lie down beside the table while you settle in. Staff are accommodating, and a water bowl is usually no trouble, though bringing your own is the safe play on a hot Sunshine Coast morning.

The vibe

The coffee is the standout, smooth and well-balanced, and the food follows the same unfussy line: brekky wraps, loaded fries, a breaky pizza and cookies like the house nutella number, at fair prices with consistently friendly service. It trades mornings only: 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday, 7am to 11am Saturday, closed Sunday.

The address is 125 Sugar Road, in the commercial strip behind the Maroochydore city centre and an easy detour from the Sunshine Motorway. There is a free on-site car park plus street parking, with street-level access that makes getting a dog in and out simple.

Close by with the dogs

For a walk before or after, the Maroochydore off-leash park is close, and the Maroochy River parks and beach access are a short drive. If you are cafe-hopping, Murray's on Sixth and Criminal Coffee Company are nearby favourites. More dog-friendly cafes in Queensland or plan via Maroochydore.
