Cafe 65

Cafe 65 is a casual local cafe on Burnett Street in the heart of Buderim village, and one of the reliably dog-welcoming spots in town. The covered breezeway out front is where dogs are an everyday sight rather than a special exception, at 5/65 Burnett Street.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the covered outdoor and footpath seating, which is the main place to sit anyway. Staff are known to put out water bowls and hand out dog biscuits, so the welcome is practical, not just tolerated. Indoor seating follows the usual food-service rules, so plan on being outside, and the covered roof keeps both of you out of the afternoon sun.

The vibe and the menu

The cafe is known for an affordable big breakfast and friendly service, with smashed avo, halloumi dishes and burgers alongside homemade baked beans and crispy bacon that regulars keep ordering. Hours run 6am to 2:30pm daily. Weekend mornings are the busy stretch in the village, so an early table beats a 10am one.

Free street parking runs along Burnett Street, with a free public car park nearby, though the village fills up on weekend mornings. The venue is wheelchair accessible, and the flat approach makes it an easy stop with a dog.

Close by with the dogs

Buderim Village Park is a short walk for a post-coffee stroll on the lead, and the fenced run at Elizabeth Daniels Park is a short drive down the hill if your dog needs a proper off-lead session. John Kyle Espresso and Feeka Espresso are the other Buderim dog-friendly coffee stops for the rotation.
