Thai Frenzy on Buderim

Thai Frenzy is a well-liked local Thai restaurant at 1 Ballinger Road, Buderim, good for a casual dinner or a quick takeaway run. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor footpath tables, and the free parking right out front makes grabbing a curry on the way home easy.

Dogs are welcome at the designated outdoor and footpath seating, on lead and sitting by your table on the pavement. As with any restaurant handling food, dogs are not allowed indoors. Outdoor tables are limited, so if they are full or the dog would rather not wait, takeaway with online ordering is the fallback. Dog bowls and treats are not a standard offering here, so pack a travel water bowl.

Worth knowing

The kitchen is known for its massaman curry, generous portions and fast, friendly service across dine-in and takeaway. The menu covers the usual ground well: satay chicken skewers, curry puffs, coconut rice and a full curry range from green to Penang. Dinner runs from 5pm Wednesday to Sunday, with Fridays and Saturdays open until 8:30pm; Mondays and Tuesdays are closed. Friday to Sunday evenings are the busiest stretch on Ballinger Road.

The restaurant sits in a small shopping complex on Ballinger Road, Buderim, with free off-street parking directly out front. Access from the car park to the footpath tables is flat and short.

Close by with the dogs

Note that dogs are not permitted at the Buderim Forest reserve and falls under its conservation rules. For a walk with the dog instead, the Elizabeth Daniels Park fenced dog park gives a proper off-lead run, while Feeka espresso covers daytime coffee nearby. Aomori Japanese is another dog-friendly dinner option on the plateau.
