Beach Street Deli

Beach Street Deli is a relaxed breakfast and brunch cafe at 1 Beach Parade, Maroochydore, directly opposite Maroochydore Beach and about 50 metres from the sand. For dog owners the location is the whole point: it is an easy dog-friendly stop straight off a morning beach walk.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor footpath seating, breezy and close to the tables, with room to settle right beside your chair. Staff are accommodating and usually bring out a water bowl, sometimes a puppuccino, though carrying your own water is still sensible on busy mornings.

The vibe

The menu runs to the Beach Benny, rosti stacks and egg and bacon muffins, with smoothies, freshly squeezed juice and proper vegetarian and gluten-free options. It trades mornings from 6:30am, closing early afternoon, and is closed on Fridays, with weekends the busiest stretch. Coast views come with the terrace seats.

Pepsi: beach across the road, coffee at the door. Run the sand first, then flop at an outdoor table while everyone eats their body weight in benny.

Getting there and parking

The address is 1 Beach Parade. Free street parking runs along Beach Parade and near the Maroochydore Surf Club, but it fills on weekend mornings, so arrive early or walk in from further along the Esplanade.

While you're out there

The main beach opposite is on-lead under Sunshine Coast Council rules, and the nearest off-lead sand sits north at Twin Waters and Mudjimba. The Maroochydore leash-free park covers an unfenced run, and the Alex Headland to Mooloolaba boardwalk makes a solid on-lead add-on. For a second coffee, Criminal Coffee Company is nearby.
