Marcoola Dunes

Marcoola Dunes is a fully self-contained holiday house at 33 Willow Crescent, Marcoola, on the Sunshine Coast, managed as part of the Pet Friendly Holiday Houses group. It is set up for dogs from the ground up: a fully fenced yard, a grassed play area, a palm garden and a dog welcome inside the house as well as out.

Dogs at Marcoola Dunes

Dogs of various sizes are welcome, provided they are well behaved and approved by the property managers before you book. The yard is fully fenced to six feet, so a dog can be outside unsupervised while you are indoors, and hammock style dog beds are provided. House rules from the management group allow dogs inside and outside but ask that they stay off the furniture out of respect for future guests. Any pet fee or deposit is set by the managers per booking, so get approval for your dog and the current charge confirmed at the time of booking.

The vibe

This is a single house, not a resort: full kitchen, indoor living space and a private secure yard with a palm garden. Because the whole place is yours there are no shared lobbies or corridors to negotiate with a lead in one hand, and the fenced yard takes the pressure off toilet breaks and morning play.

Close by with the dogs

The Marcoola fenced dog park is the obvious outing, and a dog friendly stretch of beach sits a one to two minute walk from the house, with off-lead parkland in North Marcoola close behind it.
