Mandurah Caravan and Tourist Park is an independently run family park on Pinjarra Road at Furnissdale, near the Serpentine River bridge about ten minutes inland from the Mandurah foreshore. Inside the grounds dogs stay on a lead, and the park keeps dedicated areas for walking them. What you lose in cabin options you gain in setting: the park sits by the river rather than in the traffic, with Serpentine River walks close at hand and everything on the Mandurah coast a short drive away.

Out and about

The City of Mandurah requires dogs on leash in all public spaces outside designated dog exercise areas, including the Eastern and Western Foreshore walkways, so the waterfront stroll is an on-lead one. Off-lead options are good: Halls Head has a 24-hour off-leash beach south of the marina, and the fully fenced, double-gated dog park at Dudley Park has agility equipment, though it is worth dodging mosquito hours around the wetlands in summer. Carry bags and keep the registration tag on the collar, as council fines apply.

Close by with the dogs

For a proper run, Halls Head Dog Beach allows off-leash play on the sand, and Mandurah Fenced Dog Park is the secure fallback. HUDDLE: the brew at Dolphin Quay serves coffee down at the marina with dogs on the deck, and if a site does not suit, Mandurah Coastal Holiday Park is a separate property closer to the town centre.
