Mandurah Coastal Holiday Park is a shaded, family-run style park at 153 Mandurah Terrace, close enough to the foreshore and beach to walk, and it takes dogs on designated pet-friendly sites and in designated pet-friendly cabins. The cabin option is what sets it apart locally: several parks around Mandurah only accept dogs on tents and vans, so this is a realistic choice for travellers without their own rig.

Pets are restricted to the designated pet-friendly caravan and camping sites and the specifically designated pet-friendly cabins, so specify one when you book rather than hoping on arrival. The limit is two small dogs or cats per site or cabin, or one large dog. Pets must be vaccinated, not on the restricted breeds list, declared at check-in with their size, and kept on a lead whenever they are outside your van, tent or cabin. They cannot be left unattended in the park, they are banned from shared facilities including the camp kitchen, amenities block, laundries and barbecue areas, and you are liable for damage or excessive mess. There is no standard pet fee listed, but confirm current terms when booking.

Max: book the pet-friendly cabin and check which end of the park it sits on, because the walk to the dog beach changes a lot depending on where you land.

The place

It is an affordable park with a pool, a camp kitchen, shady concrete and grass sites and equipped cabins, popular with families doing the beach and estuary circuit. Being central Mandurah, everything from the foreshore playgrounds to the fish and chip strip is close, though that also means traffic noise rather than bush quiet.

Getting there and around

The park sits on Mandurah Terrace, the main coastal road through town, with Perth about an hour north by car and the train station a short drive away. The foreshore paths are flat and leashed walks along the estuary start at the door.

Close by with the dogs

The off-lead swimming is a short drive south, with the Falcon foreshore stretch running off-leash around the clock along its designated sand. The Halls Head Dog Beach is the other established option north of the estuary, and the fenced Mandurah Fenced Dog Park at Dudley Park covers secure exercise. Seven Trees Coffee in Falcon is on the way to the dog beach.
