Quest Apartments Fremantle

Quest Apartments Fremantle is a self-contained apartment hotel at 8 Pakenham Street, in a quiet corner of the historic West End but still inside easy walking distance of the cappuccino strip, the Fishing Boat Harbour and Fremantle station. It is one of the few apartment stays right in central Freo that takes dogs, which makes it a practical base for a town trip with the dog along.

Pet-friendly rooms are offered on request and subject to availability, so book direct rather than assuming an online rate includes the dog. Up to two dogs of any size are allowed per room, with a fee reported at around 250 dollars per stay, and beds and bowls are provided for canine guests. Cats may be considered by request. Because pet rooms are limited, ring the property to lock in a room and confirm the current fee and any conditions for your dates. Bring your dog's own bedding as well; hotel provisions are a bonus, not a guarantee.

The vibe

The apartments run from studios to two bedrooms, self-contained with kitchens, laundry and a proper living space, and many have balconies. That layout suits travelling with a dog: you can cook, run the washing machine, and settle in for longer stays. High ceilings and modern fit-outs in a heritage streetscape give it more character than the usual serviced apartment.

Getting there and parking

The building sits at 8 Pakenham Street, walkable from Fremantle station and close to the West End's cafes and breweries. On-site parking is available, and everything in the town centre is on foot from the door. The immediate streets are busy town blocks, so walks from the apartment are on-lead, with the sand a short drive south.

While you're out there

Fremantle does beaches well for dogs. The South Beach Dog Off Leash Area at South Fremantle is the closest proper run, and the Leighton Beach Dog Exercise Area up the coast gives a second option. Closer to the apartment, GESHA Cafe and Broody Hen Coffee Shop both do dog-friendly outdoor tables.
