Waterlily House

Waterlily House is a six-bedroom canal-front holiday home at 33 Waterlily Drive in Dudley Park, Mandurah, sleeping up to 14 with a private jetty over the canals. It is built for big family gatherings, and dogs can come too, but only by advance approval, so this is a stay to plan rather than book on a whim.

Dogs are accepted on an application basis and must be requested in advance, not added at check-in. Up to two dogs are allowed, and they must be well behaved and fully toilet trained. A fee of $30 per dog applies, and guests carry responsibility for any damage. The house rules are firm: no dogs on furniture or beds, clean up mess promptly, and if your dog barks or will not meet the behaviour standard, the hosts would rather you used a local kennel. Sleep arrangements should be sorted before arrival, with your dog's own bedding brought along.

The place

The house sits directly on the Mandurah canals with exclusive use of the private jetty, good for fishing, crab pots or just watching boats slide past. Six bedrooms and space for 14 make it a fit for multi-generational trips or two families travelling together, with a BBQ area and a well-equipped kitchen. With canal water straight off the jetty edge, a water-mad dog needs close supervision here in a way a fenced yard never does. Address the canal safety question with the hosts when you apply, especially with toddlers or an impulsive swimmer.

Dudley Park is a quiet residential pocket minutes from the Mandurah CBD. The Mandurah Fenced Dog Park on Leslie Street is fully fenced with separate big and small dog areas and double gates, and Halls Head Dog Beach gives a proper off-lead swim a short drive away. For coffee, Perch'd on Mandurah Terrace welcomes dogs at the outdoor tables with water bowls on hand.
