Betty's Burgers(Mandurah)

Betty's Burgers sits on Mandurah Terrace a step from the estuary foreshore, serving its classic burger shack menu of fresh beef and crispy chicken burgers, chicken strips and the famous thick shakes, including a peanut butter version. It opens 11am to 9pm daily, and the footpath tables out front make it an easy stop with the dog between foreshore walks.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor footpath seating on Mandurah Terrace, not inside, where only accredited assistance dogs are permitted under standard WA food rules. The tables operate walk-in and first-come, so there is no booking a pet-friendly spot; arrive off-peak if you want a sure table. The terrace is a high-traffic strip, so a dog that stays calm around passers-by will settle best. Bring your own water bowl rather than counting on one being out.

Worth knowing

This is a quick, busy burger shack and service moves fast, which suits a short stop more than a long, leisurely lunch with a restless dog. The City of Mandurah's pet rules keep the main foreshore promenade and active public zones on-leash, so the walk either side of your meal stays on the lead; waste bag dispensers are dotted around the foreshore.

Getting there and parking

Betty's is at 9 Mandurah Terrace, close to the Smart Street Mall precinct. Timed street parking runs along the terrace, with public car parks behind the shops, and the foreshore is directly across the road.

Take the order across to the foreshore grass while you wait, then keep walking: the paved estuary boardwalk is flat and dolphin-spotting is common. For a proper off-leash run, Mandurah Fenced Dog Park at Dudley Park is close by, and Halls Head Dog Beach gives your dog a swim a short drive north.
