Outback Cellar & Country Cottage

Outback Cellar & Country Cottage is a rustic country stay on a 125 acre working farm at 21 Warrie Road, about 10 minutes from central Dubbo. It is really two stays in one, and for dog owners the split matters: only The Cottage takes pets, and it comes with a fenced garden where a dog can be off lead in its own yard.

Dogs at the Outback Cellar

The Cottage is a two bedroom, self contained country house with a private courtyard and BBQ. The loft style Cellar studio next door does not allow pets, so book The Cottage specifically. Booking platforms list pets as allowed on request, with no extra pet fee reported, and a refundable deposit of around $100 secures the booking; confirm the current deposit and cleaning terms when you reserve.

Worth knowing

This is a working farm with stock and resident animals. Keep your dog inside the fenced cottage garden or on lead beyond it, and check with the owners before walking the wider property. The 125 acres give room to stretch your legs, but boundaries and livestock come first.

Max: The fenced garden is the win here. We kept our kelpie in the yard and asked the owners before wandering past the machinery shed.

The vibe

Rustic and historic, on the quiet rural Eschol stretch off the Macquarie River. Kangaroos and farm animals are part of the view, gardens frame the buildings, and cool nights end by the fireplace. Comfortable linen and beds come up often in guest feedback, and the owners are known for being helpful without hovering.

Getting there and parking

Free on site parking at the gate. Dubbo's city centre, the zoo, riverside walks and cafes with outdoor seating are all a short drive away.
