How's the Serenity Camping Ground

How's the Serenity Camping Ground is a rustic bush camp on Collie Road, 20 to 25 minutes north of Dubbo, and it is one of the friendlier stops in the region for travelling dogs: no pet fee, no size limits published, and open space around every site. It is a working-farm style camp built around campfires, sunsets and quiet rather than resort facilities, and the ground rules are the trade-off for that setting.

Dogs at the camp

Dogs are welcome on the caravan, motorhome and tent sites, and there is no extra charge for bringing one. The conditions are firm: on-lead at all times and in all areas, kept away from the amenities block, never left unattended at your site, and droppings picked up straight away. Owners carry full liability for their pets. Day visitors cannot bring dogs at all, so this is a stay-only arrangement. Book by phone or message before arrival, as the camp is small.

Max: livestock country means the lead rule is not negotiable, even for a ten-second wander to the fire pit. Bring a long line and let the dog be at camp without being off it.

Worth knowing

Powered sites come with water, drive-through layouts make larger rigs easy, and a 10km/h speed limit keeps the ground calm for dogs walking off their own site. Fire pits run from Easter through the October long weekend, with firewood available on site, and guests single out the instant hot water showers. Expect cows as neighbours; if your dog has opinions about livestock, this is worth knowing before you arrive.
