YOU Cafe is a small Modern Asian and Australian fusion cafe at 124 Brisbane Street in the Dubbo CBD, and it puts itself out there as pet-friendly: dogs are welcome at the outdoor footpath tables while you work through the brunch menu.

The dog setup. Dogs join you at the sidewalk tables out front, not inside the small dining room. The footpath frontage gives you room to settle a dog beside the table. Staff are used to dogs; bring your own water bowl since this is a compact setup.

Good to know. The kitchen leans into Asian-fusion breakfast and brunch, prawn cutlets, Hong Kong-style plates, tacos, with serious coffee and latte art. It is a small space, so the outdoor tables are the spot to aim for with a dog. Open from 7:30am, closed Sundays.

Getting there and parking. Central Dubbo on Brisbane Street. Parking is mostly metered street parking along Brisbane Street and the surrounding blocks, and it can mean a short walk on a busy weekday.

Nearby with the dogs. Victoria Park and the Macquarie River walking paths are both a short walk away for a leg-stretch before or after.

Best earlier in the morning, when the footpath tables are free and the CBD foot traffic past your dog is lighter.
