Trinity Islands Holiday Park sits on 108 acres at Burrum Heads Road, Burrum River, with three private islands and an 11-acre lake between the sites and the Burrum River. The place. Sites are large and lakefront, with powered and unpowered options for caravans, trailers and tents. On offer: complimentary kayaks and stand-up paddleboards for the private lake, catch-and-release fishing, a camp kitchen, fire pits, hot showers and laundry. It's a quiet, nature-based park with a resident kangaroo population, so it suits dogs that are settled around wildlife rather than reactive.

Location and nearby. The park sits between Maryborough and Burrum Heads, close to the Burrum River for a fishing walk and within reach of Burrum Heads Beach for an on-leash run (check current Fraser Coast Regional Council rules before you go, as beach leash and off-leash zones vary by section). Bring your own water bowl and pet supplies. Town water is available for tanks, but there's no dedicated pet store on site.

Go for the shoulder seasons if you want the lake and fishing deck to yourselves; school holidays fill the powered sites fast on the Fraser Coast. Good for settled dogs happy to be leashed between the tent and the water, less suited to dogs that need to be off-leash to burn energy.
