Prince's Place runs split-system heating and cooling, high-speed wifi and a single garage; Splendour on Sackville is a two-storey townhouse with three bedrooms upstairs and polished concrete downstairs. That suits families and longer stays where a dog needs room to settle.

Close by with the dogs

The Murray River foreshore is the draw. Noreuil Park has riverside space and the Wagirra Trail for on-lead walks, and across the border Belvoir Park Dog Park gives a fenced run. For coffee, House of Ivy in Albury and The Brekkie Box in Wodonga are both worth a stop, and Albury Public House is handy for dinner.
