What visitors mention
Alexandra Park Fenced Dog Park is a large, fully fenced off-leash area on the corner of Cadell and Keene Streets in East Albury, open 24/7 and popular enough with travellers on the Hume Highway that it's worth a stop even if you're just passing through.
The rules. Dogs must be leashed until you're through the double-gated entry, then it's off-leash inside the fenced area. Owners need to keep dogs under effective control at all times, and it's a single large shared space rather than separate small-dog and big-dog zones, so it suits a well-socialised, confident dog better than a nervous one. Clean up after your dog using the bins provided, and keep an eye on kids in the park too, since it doubles as a family space.
What's there. The park has a spacious grassy area with mature trees for shade, agility equipment including ramps and hoops, drinking water for dogs, and benches for owners. Waste bags and bins are supplied throughout.
Watch-outs. The security fencing keeps dogs safely away from Cadell Street traffic, which is the main selling point over an unfenced reserve. A few low spots turn muddy after rain, especially through winter, so check the ground before you unclip the lead.

Getting there. It's on Cadell Street, easily reached from the Hume Freeway, with free parking on-site and along the street. There's no direct bus route, but it's a short drive from central Albury.
Nearby with the dogs. Dean Street in central Albury has a run of dog-friendly cafes a short drive away, and there are several pet-friendly motels along the Hume Highway corridor in East Albury and Wodonga, though it's worth confirming pet policies before booking.
When to go. Early mornings and the 5pm to 7pm window draw the biggest after-work crowd. For a quieter run with more room to work on recall, aim for mid-morning or mid-afternoon on a weekday.
