Logan Road Park Fenced Dog Park

Logan Road Park Fenced Dog Park sits beside Bunton Park in North Albury and is the city's most complete off-leash setup: a fully fenced, double-gated enclosure with an agility course, a water station and a shallow paddling pool that goes in over summer. Open 24 hours, and popular enough that the 4pm to 6pm weekday window gets busy.

Leash status

This is a council-designated off-leash exercise area inside the fence. Keep your dog on lead until you are through the gate, then it runs under voice and hand control, which means you need a reliable recall. Dangerous, restricted or aggressive dogs are not permitted, dogs in season should stay home, and handlers must stay present and supervising the whole time. Leash up again before you leave.

Water and terrain

The enclosure is mostly grass with open space for sprinting, agility obstacles for training, and mature trees along the fence line that give real shade in summer. A drinking fountain with dog bowls sits near the entrance, and the paddling pool appears in the warmer months. Waste bins and bag dispensers are provided, though bring your own bags as backup.

Getting there and parking

The park is on Logan Road, North Albury, right next to Bunton Park, and it is an easy detour off the Hume Highway if you are passing through. Street parking runs along Logan Road. Buses along Kaitlers Road or Wagga Road drop you within a short walk.

Worth knowing

The ground around the paddling pool turns to mud fast after rain, so pack a towel and wear shoes you do not mind ruining. Carry a lead even inside the fence, because gates get busy at peak times and a dog bolting for an open exit is the most common way afternoons go wrong here. With a reactive dog, aim for a weekday mid-morning instead of the after-work rush.
