Saint Marthe

Saint Marthe is a French-inspired brasserie on Main Street in the middle of the Tamborine Mountain township, running lunch and dinner Wednesday to Sunday. It sits at the polished end of the mountain's dining, wine, small plates and classic brasserie fare, but the outdoor veranda tables mean a dog does not have to wait in the car while you eat properly.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables on the veranda and patio, not in the indoor dining room with its fireplace. The setting is compact and central rather than a sprawling courtyard, so a smaller dog or a calm larger one that will settle under the table suits it best, particularly on a busy weekend service. Staff are easy about dogs, though water bowls are not guaranteed, so bring your own and ask for a veranda table when you book.

The venue comes from the team behind El Burro Cantina, another mountain favourite, and the tone is cosy and gather-with-friends rather than white linen stiff. Hours are 11:30am to 8pm Wednesday through Sunday, closed Monday and Tuesday.

The address is 13 Main Street, walkable from the rest of the township. Street parking runs along Main Street and the side streets, and it tightens on weekends when the visitors climb the mountain, so arrive early for lunch or book ahead for dinner and specify outdoor seating.

The fenced Leash-Free Dog Area on Central Avenue is the mountain's off-leash option, a few minutes away for a run before lunch. Note the national park sections on the mountain prohibit dogs, so keep walks to council parks and township streets.
