The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor dining areas and beer garden, with enough room between tables for a dog to settle. Indoors is off limits apart from assistance dogs. Staff are friendly about water but bring your own bowl, and book ahead for busy weekend sessions to be sure of an outdoor table.

Good to know. Regulars rate the fried chicken burger, the pork belly roll, the rotisserie meats and the beer selection, and there is a kids play area, which makes it an easy family-plus-dog outing.

Getting there. Street parking on Glengala Road and the surrounding streets is usually simple, and buses run along Glengala Road.
