Branded Burgers & Bar

Branded Burgers & Bar is the burger bar on Warburton Highway in Seville, an easy pull-off on the drive into the Yarra Valley. It opens from 8am through to dinner, seven days a week, and covers breakfast to burgers with a full bar behind it. The outdoor seating welcomes dogs, which makes it a practical lunch stop when you are working the valley with your dog in the car, and reviewers regularly call out the welcoming staff alongside the big portions.

The dog setup

Dogs on a leash are welcome at the outdoor tables, and the casual setup means no fuss: order at the counter, take a seat outside and keep your dog settled beside you. It is a popular stop for travellers coming back from a walk on the Warburton Rail Trail or a run at the local reserves, so the footpath seating sees its share of tired dogs. Water for a hot Yarra Valley afternoon is a fair ask at the counter.

The vibe

This is American style comfort food done Yarra Valley style, and the menu rotates a burger of the month to keep regulars on their toes. The JD Burger is the flagship, a double beef, double cheese stack with caramelised onion and Jack Daniel's maple bacon, with brisket burgers, steak sandwiches and a hash brown stack rounding out the board. Loaded fries and sweet potato fries cover the sides, kids meals keep families fed, and parmas appear for the pub at heart. The bar pours local tap beers, ciders and house wines, and Friday happy hour runs 4pm to 6pm with half price tap beer and house wine.

Getting there and parking

The bar sits at 567 Warburton Highway in Seville, about an hour east of Melbourne, with parking on site and along the highway frontage. Doors open at 8am daily and the kitchen runs to 8:30pm, with the odd earlier close on weeknights. The Lilydale to Warburton rail trail crosses the highway nearby, so a ride or walk leg in is straightforward.

While you're out there

Before the burgers, run the dog at the Seville Recreational Reserve Dog Off Leash Area or the quieter Hickman Place Dog Off Leash Area. The Carriage Cafe in its 1910 railway carriage is the trail side coffee stop, and Seville Estate pours just up the road if the day calls for a cellar door.
