Binny'z Pizza & Cafe

Binny'z Pizza & Cafe sits on the Dandenong Road service road at 1552 Dandenong Road, on the Oakleigh East side of the suburb, and it keeps serious hours: from 11am through to 2am early in the week and effectively round the clock on Friday and Saturday nights. The owners welcome dogs in the undercover outdoor seating out front.

The dog setup

Dogs join you in the covered outdoor area rather than inside, which keeps a visit workable even when the weather turns. The outdoor space is compact, so it suits a settled small-to-medium dog best, and a busy Friday midnight is a different proposition to a quiet weekday lunch. A water bowl is generally on offer for four-legged guests, but a portable bowl is the safe bet.

Worth knowing

The menu is pizza-led with an Indian inflection: peri peri and tandoori chicken pizzas sit beside pepperoni and smoky barbecue chicken, with a wholemeal atta base option and halal meat throughout. Pastas, burgers, fried chicken and loaded fries fill out the board, gelato covers dessert, and the coffee trade runs through the day. Cyclists use the Dandenong Road corridor regularly and it is a known refuel stop.

Getting there and parking

The service road runs parallel to Dandenong Road, with usually free street parking directly out front. Oakleigh Station and the main shopping precinct are a short drive or a solid walk away.

While you're out there

Carlson Reserve and F E Hunt Reserve are the nearest off-lead areas on the Oakleigh East side, and Jack Edwards Reserve covers the Oakleigh end near the creek.
