Cubby House Pizzeria is a casual Italian pizzeria at Shop 1, 570 Main Street on the Mordialloc strip, listed as dog friendly with footpath seating. It is an evening venue for the most part, which lines it up nicely with a beach or creek walk finished at dusk.

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor dining on the Main Street footpath, on lead beside the table. The dining room inside is people only. It is a street-side setup with steady foot traffic, so it suits a dog that settles in a busy spot. Staff are accommodating; bring your own water bowl to be certain.

On the plate

The kitchen turns out light, crispy woodfired pizza across a broad menu, with garlic and cheese, potato and marinara versions among the regulars, plus polenta chips and lamb ragu off the pizza list. Service is quick for dine-in or takeaway. Hours are dinner weighted, from about 4:30pm Monday to Saturday and from midday on Sunday.

Getting there and parking

Mordialloc station on the Frankston line is a short walk, and the Main Street strip has street parking plus a public car park behind the shops near the station if you drive.

Close by with the dogs

Mind the beach rules before you plan a pre-pizza swim: Kingston Council prohibits dogs entirely on the Mordialloc foreshore between Mordialloc Creek and the end of Bay Street, though the paved path along Beach Road is fine on lead.
