Benny's American Burger Milton

Benny's American Burger sits in the Milton Green precinct and does exactly what the name promises: smashed beef burgers, slow-cooked brisket and loaded sides, with outdoor tables where dogs are genuinely welcome. The venue's own posts put it plainly - everyone is welcome, dogs included.

The dog setup

Dogs join you at the outdoor tables, on lead and close to your chair. The area gets busy, particularly before events at Suncorp Stadium a short walk away, so a calm dog is worth more than usual here. Water bowls are not formally listed, so pack one or ask on the day - outdoor burger spots in the precinct generally produce one on request.

On the plate

The menu runs to smashed beef, crispy chicken and brisket burgers, birria tacos, hot wings, poutine and tater tots, with thick shakes for the table. It is a casual, sports-leaning crowd, loud on match days and easy going the rest of the week. Doors open from 11am daily, trading to about 8pm and a little later on Friday and Saturday.

Getting there and parking

Milton station is a short walk, which is the easiest way in. If you drive, parking around Little Cribb Street is a mix of paid street spots and paid garages, with limited on-site parking at the precinct.

Close by with the dogs

The Bicentennial Bikeway runs along the Brisbane River past Milton for a flat on-leash walk before or after your burger - keep your dog tight on the left, it carries plenty of cyclists. For an off-leash run, the Milton Park fenced dog park on Eagle Terrace has separate large and small dog enclosures, and Anzac Park fenced dog park in Toowong adds agility gear about five minutes away.
