What visitors mention
Milton Park's fenced off-leash area sits just off Park Road, a short walk from Milton railway station, and splits into two enclosures so boisterous dogs and quieter or smaller dogs don't have to mix.
The rules. Dogs must stay on-lead until they're through the gate and inside the compound. Once inside, owners need to keep dogs under voice control and stay with them, not park on a bench and scroll. Pick up after your dog, bins are provided. Aggressive or reactive dogs need to be leashed and removed straight away if there's an incident.
What's there. The dual-enclosure layout is the standout feature, one side for small or timid dogs, one for bigger, more energetic ones. There's shaded, covered seating, water for dogs, public toilets and lighting, so it works for an evening visit too. It backs onto a children's playground and tennis courts, so expect some background noise and activity on weekends.
Getting there. There's a small on-site car park that fills fast during peak windows, so street parking nearby is the backup. It's an easy walk from Milton station on the Ipswich/Rosewood line, and several Park Road and Milton Road bus routes stop close by.
Nearby with the dogs. Corgi Garden on Railway Terrace is a couple of minutes' drive and does treats for dogs on its outdoor tables. Quest Kelvin Grove, about five minutes away, is a pet-friendly option if you need to stay over.

When to go. Weekday mornings and after-work hours, plus Saturday and Sunday mornings around 8 to 10am, are the busiest. Mid-morning on a weekday is the quiet window, good for nervous dogs or off-lead training without the crowd.
