Anzac Park Fenced Dog Park on Dean Street in Toowong is a fully fenced, 24/7 off-leash area with separate sections for large and small dogs, agility equipment, and enough mature shade to make it one of the better-equipped dog parks on Brisbane's western side. The wider Anzac Park reserve around it adds a playground, toilets and open space, so it works as a full family stop rather than just a dog run.

The dog setup

Two fenced areas split by size: a larger main run with agility obstacles, and a separate small dog and puppy section. Benches sit under mature trees, drinking water and bowls are provided, and lighting makes evening visits practical. Worth knowing

One watch-out: an unfenced duck pond sits just outside the fence line in the wider reserve, so keep a hold of dogs that bolt towards water until you are well clear. Timing also matters. Weekday mornings and Wednesday nights are the quietest windows, while Tuesday to Thursday afternoons and Saturday afternoons draw the biggest crowds. If your dog is nervous around boisterous play, use the small dog section rather than fighting for space in the main run.

Perrin Park Dog Recreation Area on Josling Street is the other big off-leash option in Toowong if you want variety across the week.
