Queue A Bowl is a small, friendly cafe on Putland Close in the quieter industrial pocket of Kirrawee, with a bushland outlook toward the Royal National Park that makes it a natural stop before or after a walk.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor, alfresco seating. Access is flat and easy from Putland Close, which is a calm street, so it suits dogs coming off or heading into a walk. Staff are known to be warm toward dogs, though water and treats are not advertised, so bring your own bowl.

Good to know. The coffee is Danes Coffee Roasters, backed by fresh pastries, hearty breakfasts and wholesome lunches. It carries a quiet, low-key feel away from the busier strips. It is closed Mondays, opening Tuesday to Sunday from morning to mid-afternoon.

Getting there. There is plenty of free, unmetered street parking directly on Putland Close, and it is an easy drive in from the Princes Highway or Garnet Road.

Nearby with the dogs. It is well placed for the northern edges of the Royal National Park and the nearby bushland along the local creeks, so it works as a coffee stop bookending a bushwalk. Check leash rules for any national park sections before you go.

Best on a weekday or early weekend morning, when the outdoor tables are quiet and you can pair it with a walk while it is still cool.
