Brick Pit Espresso

Brick Pit Espresso is a spacious, industrial-style cafe on Flora Street in Kirrawee, backed by White Horse Coffee, and it is one of the more genuinely dog-set-up spots in the Shire, with its own doggy menu.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the vine-covered alfresco courtyard, which is the best spot to settle in. Seating runs to larger picnic benches for group catch-ups. Staff will usually bring a water bowl, and there is a curated dog menu if you want to order your dog a treat.

Good to know. The draw is locally roasted White Horse Coffee alongside a broad breakfast and lunch menu, with the corn fritters and vegan options getting regular mentions. It is open seven days, from 6am on weekdays and mornings on weekends.

Getting there. Free street parking is usually available on Flora Street or the side streets nearby. It is a short walk from Kirrawee Railway Station if you are coming by train.

Best on a weekday morning if you want space in the courtyard. Bring the lead short at the table, since it can fill up around brunch.
