Grain of the Silos

Grain of the Silos is the restaurant, cafe and bar inside the old red-brick silos at Peppers Silo Hotel in Invermay, looking out over the North Esk River. It runs a paddock-to-plate menu built on Tasmanian produce, and its outdoor tables welcome dogs.

Nearby with the dogs. Riviere Playground sits immediately next door, useful for a stretch of the legs before or after your table. The Inveresk precinct is a short walk further on, with a riverside path running towards the Inveresk campus.

When to go. Outdoor tables are the ones to book if you are bringing a dog, so call ahead and ask for riverside seating. Breakfast or brunch keeps things relaxed if your dog is still settling into busier dinner service crowds.
