BULLET CLUB

Bullet Club is a grunge dive-bar-meets-Japanese-izakaya on Moseley Street in Glenelg, all 90s decor and fusion plates. It leans loud and moody, but the footpath tables on Moseley Street are dog-friendly and it sits a few minutes from the beach, so it works as a stop for a socialised dog.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables on the Moseley Street footpath, not inside. It is a high-traffic corner with plenty of street noise, so it suits a confident, well-socialised dog rather than a nervous one. Bring your own water bowl.

Good to know. The kitchen does Japanese-American fusion, ramen, karaage and katsu sando, alongside creative cocktails and house sodas. The room runs to a 90s theme with an arcade machine and retro gaming, so expect atmosphere over quiet.

Getting there. It is at 1/4 Moseley Street, a short step from the Jetty Road corner. The Glenelg tram stops nearby at Moseley Square. Parking is the usual Glenelg mix of side-street bays and beachfront parking, tight at peak times.

Nearby with the dog. The beach is a few minutes on foot, and Jetty Road runs plenty of other dog-friendly footpath tables if you want to make an afternoon of it.

Best earlier in the evening or on a quieter afternoon before it fills; a busy Bullet Club is a lot of stimulation for a dog. Good for owners of a street-savvy dog who want food with an edge.
