Yard Doggs Fortitude Valley

Yard Doggs at 6/24 Martin Street is an American-style wings bar in the heart of Fortitude Valley, and the name is not a bluff: dogs are welcome both in the outdoor beer garden and inside the bar itself, which is unusual for the precinct. Late-night service to midnight makes it a rare dog-friendly dinner option in the Valley. Weekends get loud and crowded, so an earlier evening or a weekend lunch is the calmer call.

Getting there and parking

Martin Street sits in the middle of the Valley, a short walk from Fortitude Valley train station and the Brunswick Street mall end. Street parking in the surrounding blocks is limited and turns over slowly on weekends, so transit or a rideshare is the easier call with a dog in tow.

Walk it off afterwards along the Teneriffe to Howard Smith Wharves riverwalk or the New Farm riverwalk, both on-lead but scenic. For an off-leash run before dinner, the Victoria Park fenced dog park in Spring Hill is a few minutes' drive away.
