Tziki Bar

Tziki Bar is the Greek-inspired kitchen and bar at Unit 8, 330 Mons Road, Forest Glen, just off the Bruce Highway corridor on the Sunshine Coast. The reason to bring the dog is Medusa's Garden, the outdoor beer garden where dogs are welcome while you work through souvlaki, mezze and a drink list that does not rush anyone.

The dog setup

Dogs are permitted in Medusa's Garden only; the indoor restaurant seating stays people-only. Water bowls are typically available out in the garden and staff are used to four-legged guests, but it is fully outdoor seating, so pick your weather and carry a backup bowl on hot Sunshine Coast afternoons. Ask for a spot with shade if your dog wilts in the sun.

The vibe and the food

The menu runs to modern Greek sharing plates: tzatziki and taramasalata with warm pita or house sourdough, grilled halloumi, calamari fritti, street yiros and a pulled lamb shoulder with hummus and pomegranate dukkah, plus larger platters built for groups. A weekly specials rhythm gives the garden a reason to return, with souvlaki night the regular favourite. Doors run Tuesday to Sunday from 11am, with evening service Tuesday to Saturday and the kitchen closed Mondays; dinner times vary between midweek and weekends, so confirm before a special trip.

Getting there and parking

Tziki Bar sits on Mons Road at the Forest Glen interchange, minutes from Sippy Downs and Buderim. There is on-site parking at the 330 Mons Road complex, so the walk from the car to the garden with a dog is short.

Close by with the dogs

For an off-leash run before a long garden lunch, Elizabeth Daniels Park Fenced Dog Park on Buderim's Syd Lingard Drive is the nearest fully fenced option, roughly ten minutes away. If you would rather a leashed walk, the Buderim-Palmwoods Heritage Tramway Walk starts in Mons itself. Note that Buderim Forest Park and its falls prohibit dogs entirely, despite being close by.

Max: Book the garden for a Friday or Saturday evening when the full specials program runs, and keep the dog on the shaded side away from the bar queue.
