Staff are known to be accommodating and will usually bring water out, but bring a bowl you can clip to the table leg all the same. Keep your dog on a short lead and out of the walkway, since this is a small shopfront where the servers move quickly.

The draw is fast, fresh, customisable noodles at fair prices: Mongolian, Singapore-style, garlic prawn, black bean and teriyaki versions, plus fried rice, wonton soup, honey chicken and homemade dim sims, with group deals like a feast for two. Meals tend to land quickly, so it suits a quick lunch or early dinner rather than a lingering sit-down. Hours run from 11am, closing at 8pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30pm on Friday and Saturday, with the kitchen shut on Sundays.

The address is Shop 10/9 Elizabeth Avenue, Clontarf. There is free on-site parking plus easy street parking along Elizabeth Avenue, and the run from car to outside table is short, which helps with a dog that does not love carparks.

Close by with the dogs

Pelican Park on Hornibrook Esplanade is the natural pre- or post-meal stroll, though it is an on-lead park, and the Clontarf beach strip stays on-lead too.
