Stoa Bokarina

Stoa is the all-day cafe, bar and lounge on the ground floor of the Zinc building in Bokarina, from the team behind One Block Back at Moffat Beach. It sits directly across from a landscaped park and has become a regular stop for locals on their morning dog walk, with dogs welcome in the alfresco section.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the alfresco outdoor dining area, with the indoor dining room off limits. Keep your dog leashed and settled in the outdoor space, which runs along the front of the Zinc building facing the park. Staff are set up for canine customers: puppuccinos and dog cookies are on the menu, and a water bowl is brought out if you ask. The park directly opposite makes the before-or-after walk easy.

The vibe

Coffee comes from Fonzie Abbott beans, and the brunch menu carries the sister venue's signatures, including the OBB Classic Benny, plus a solid run of vegetarian and vegan plates. Doors open at 6am daily. Daytime service wraps mid-afternoon most days, but Friday and Saturday stretch into the evening with tapas and drinks, and there is trivia and live music in the mix, so it works as both a morning coffee stop and an early-evening session.

Getting there and parking

Stoa sits in the Zinc development in Bokarina Beach on the Sunshine Coast, between Kawana Waters and Wurtulla. Street parking is plentiful around the building, and pedestrian paths link through to the coastal parklands and the beach strip. Bookings through OpenTable help for weekend brunch when the alfresco tables fill first.

Close by with the dogs

For a proper off-leash run, Bokarina Dog Beach is a short drive or long walk north, and the Ridgehaven Park fenced dog park at Currimundi covers a secure play session.
