What visitors mention
The Australian Heritage Hotel is one of Sydney's oldest pubs, a sandstone corner pub on Cumberland Street dating to 1824, and it is genuinely relaxed about dogs, welcoming them at the footpath tables and inside the historic main bar.
Dog access and setup. Well-behaved dogs on lead are welcome at the outdoor tables on the footpath and inside the main bar area. Staff will bring out a water bowl if you ask. It gets busy and loud on weekends, so it suits a settled dog more than a nervous one.
Known for. Gourmet pizzas with novelty Australian toppings (kangaroo, crocodile, emu), a large rotating craft beer and Australian wine list, and the heritage pub atmosphere.

Getting there and parking. The pub is at 100 Cumberland Street, The Rocks. Street parking nearby is limited and metered; there are paid parking stations within a few minutes' walk, including on Harrington Street and Bond Street. It is an easy walk from Circular Quay train, ferry and bus interchange.
Nearby with the dogs. The Rocks' cobblestone laneways are good for a wander before or after, and Campbells Cove is a short walk down to the harbour foreshore for bridge and opera house views. Dawes Point Park under the Harbour Bridge is nearby for a stretch of grass, though confirm current leash signage on site rather than assuming it is off-leash.
Go for the historic charm and a genuinely dog-tolerant bar, not for a quiet meal. Weeknights and early afternoons are calmer than Friday and Saturday nights.
