The Australian Heritage Hotel

The Australian Heritage Hotel is one of Sydney's oldest pubs, a sandstone corner pub on Cumberland Street dating to 1824, and it is genuinely relaxed about dogs, welcoming them at the footpath tables and inside the historic main bar.

Dawes Point Park under the Harbour Bridge is nearby for a stretch of grass, though confirm current leash signage on site rather than assuming it is off-leash.

Go for the historic charm and a genuinely dog-tolerant bar, not for a quiet meal. Weeknights and early afternoons are calmer than Friday and Saturday nights.
