What visitors mention
The short version. Tea Tree Park is home to Yandina's fenced off-leash dog area, opened by Sunshine Coast Council in late 2025 off Pioneer Road on the eastern side of town. It is a fully enclosed grass paddock of roughly 2,000 square metres, about the size of a football field, and replaced the older informal unfenced setup.
The rules. Keep your dog leashed until you are through the self-closing gates and inside the enclosure. Off-leash inside, dogs must stay under effective voice control at all times. Pick up after your dog using the bag dispensers provided, and leave glass at home; it is prohibited in and around the park.
What's there. A 1.2-metre black chain-wire fence with self-closing gates, a water tap and dog bowl, a shelter with seating, concrete paths for easy access, and bins. The turf is open and level, good for a proper run, though shade is limited, so bring your own water on hot days.
Getting there. The park sits off Pioneer Road on the eastern side of Yandina. Parking is on-street only with no dedicated car park, so it can tighten on weekends; walking in from the nearby streets is easy.
When to go. It is busiest early morning, around 7 to 9am, and late afternoon, roughly 4 to 6pm. If your dog is timid, aim for mid-morning or midday on a weekday when it is quieter. Coffee afterwards is a short walk into the Yandina town centre, where several cafes take dogs at their footpath tables.
