Tea Tree Park Dog Park (Yandina)

Yandina's dedicated off-leash dog park is the fenced enclosure at Tea Tree Park, 3 Pioneer Road, on the eastern edge of town. Sunshine Coast Council opened it in late 2025 as a fully enclosed grass area of about 2,000 square metres, roughly the size of a football field, giving locals a secure place to let dogs run.

The dog setup

Dogs stay on-lead until you are inside the gated enclosure, then off-leash under effective voice control. Clean up after your dog using the bags provided, leave glass containers at home, and take responsibility for supervising how your dog mixes with others. It takes dogs of all sizes in the one space, so keep an eye on mismatched play.

Worth knowing

The enclosure has secure 1.2-metre chain-wire fencing with self-closing gates, a water tap and dog bowl, a shelter with seating, concrete access paths and bins. The turf is level and made for running, but natural shade is modest, so carry water in summer. Peak times are early morning and late afternoon; weekday mid-morning is the calmest window if your dog prefers space.

Max: new turf and full sun exposure make summer middays hard work. Go early, take water, and let the tap handle the rest.

Getting there and parking

Access is off Pioneer Road, an easy walk from the surrounding Yandina streets and near the Yandina Historic House. Parking is on-street with no separate car park, which is manageable on weekdays but tighter on weekends.

In town, Gun Cotton Coffee Roasters and Kismet Tonic & Espresso both welcome dogs at outdoor tables. Further afield, the fenced Muller Park Reserve Fenced Dog Park at Bli Bli and Stumers Creek Dog Offleash Area at Coolum cover the wider area.
