Dog off leash Zone

A thin off-leash strip along the Kedron Brook Floodway serving the Wooloowin and Gordon Park area. It is largely unfenced, open parkland with creek access, so the main draw is a flat paddle and run rather than enclosed safety. If you need a fully fenced space, this is not it.

The rules. Dogs may be off-leash but must remain under control at all times. They must not menace, attack or worry people or other animals. Keep dogs out of playground areas, bring bags and use the bins provided along the path. Dogs should wear a collar and ID tag.

What's there. Mostly open, unfenced parkland with access points near Montrose St and Thistle St in Gordon Park. There is creek access along Kedron Brook for a paddle, but shade is scarce, so bring your own if your dog needs a break from the sun. Parking at the access points is limited, though nearby bus stops on Stafford Road and Lutwyche Road serve the area.

Weekday mornings from roughly 6 to 8am are quieter. Evenings from 5 to 7pm and Sunday afternoons draw the biggest, most social crowds.
