What visitors mention
Woodcroft Fenced Dog Park is a 4,300 square metre off-leash area inside Hurtle John Potter Reserve, on the corner of Bains Road and Investigator Drive. It opened in late November 2024 and is one of the better-equipped fenced parks in Adelaide's southern suburbs, with agility gear alongside the usual run-around space.
The rules. Dogs run off-leash within the fenced boundary only. Use the double-gated entrance so no dog slips out while you're getting the lead off. Owners must stay in the park and keep dogs under voice control, and you're responsible for cleaning up after your dog (bins are provided).
What's there. The park has agility equipment including a bridge, tunnel, weave poles, an A-frame and a sit-stay platform, plus sheltered seating, landscaped grounds, a paved footpath, gravel and grass surfaces, a drinking fountain with a dog bowl, and an on-site toilet block.
Getting there. Free parking is available near the reserve on Bains Road and Investigator Drive, and local bus routes stop on Investigator Drive.

Nearby with the dogs. Grazing in the Valley and Modish, both a short drive away in Woodcroft, are dog-friendly cafes worth combining with a park visit. For a change of scenery, Glenthorne National Park is nearby too.
Weekend mornings and weekday early evenings after work are the busiest times. For a quieter run, aim for a weekday mid-morning or mid-afternoon.
