Modish

Modish is a modern, casual cafe in the Woodcroft Town Centre at 9/217 Pimpala Road, south of Adelaide, and it has built a steady local following on friendly service and generous breakfast plates. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, which makes it a handy stop before or after a run at the suburb's dog park.

The dog setup

Dogs settle in at the outdoor seating, on lead and beside the table; the indoor floor stays for diners without dogs. You will walk your dog through the paved plaza of the shopping complex to reach the tables, so keep them close past the shopfronts. Water bowls are usually on offer but not guaranteed, so pack your own bowl to be safe on a warm day.

Worth knowing

The menu is classic brunch done well: haloumi, eggs on toast and pancakes come up most in reviews, and there are proper vegan options, which is not always a given in the outer suburbs. Staff get repeated praise for being welcoming, to two-legged and four-legged guests alike. Hours are 7:30am to 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday, with the kitchen winding up around 2pm, and the cafe is closed Mondays.

Getting there and parking

Free parking sits in the Woodcroft Town Centre car park, with easy access off Pimpala Road. The fenced Woodcroft Fenced Dog Park is a short drive away and is the natural pairing: an off-lead run first, then breakfast while the dog dries off under the table. Grazing in the Valley is the other dog-friendly cafe option in the suburb if the outdoor tables are full.
