Yiros Hub

Yiros Hub is a Greek street food counter inside The Hub Shopping Centre in Aberfoyle Park, doing spit-roasted lamb, chicken and pork in generous serves, and it is listed as dog friendly with dogs welcome at the outdoor seating in front of the shop. Open from midday until 9pm every day, it is also one of the few genuinely late dog-friendly dinner options in Adelaide's southern suburbs.

The dog setup

The outdoor tables sit within the shopping centre's open-air precinct rather than a private courtyard, so it is shared public space with regular foot traffic. Keep your dog leashed and settled close to the table; there is no fenced area and no confirmed water bowl on site, so bring your own water. A calm dog copes best here, especially around the evening rush when the food queue builds.

The food

The draw is meat carved fresh off the spit: traditional yiros in warm pita with fresh salad and house sauces, and the local-style AB pack of tender meat over hot chips with your choice of garlic tzatziki, chilli or barbecue sauce. Reviewers rate the value for portion size and the tender meat, and there is a solid line of vegetarian and vegan options alongside tabouli and hot chips.

Yiros Hub sits in The Hub Shopping Centre near the Foodland and library end, with easy access from Hub Drive and ample free parking around the complex. The open-air layout means the walk from car park to table keeps your dog outside the whole way.

For the off-leash run before dinner, Minkarra Park on Manning Road at nearby Flagstaff Hill is the closest dedicated dog park to Aberfoyle Park, fully fenced with separate size zones, agility gear and water fountains, open around the clock under City of Onkaparinga rules. A quieter evening walk through the suburb's reserves also pairs well with a 9pm close.
